This story made me laugh but touched by the sincerity of the boy and felt really sorry for what he have done.

A young reader is earning kudos
after 'fessing up to the Toronto Public Library in a handwritten note
that he inadvertently damaged a borrowed book when he fell asleep while
reading.
“I am sorry that a page ripped
when it fell out of my bunk when I fell asleep reading. It won’t happen
again. I’m sorry. From Jackson,” read the note inside a card addressed
to “Library.”
The library posted the note on its Facebook page Saturday and wrote that it had been found in the book drop at the Main Street branch.
The library told ABC News that it didn’t know Jackson’s age.
More than 3,700 people had liked the post as of Tuesday evening.
“How precious! Yay for kids that
still read a book before falling asleep!” commented one poster, while
another added: “You're so honest Jackson! Keep it up. Falling asleep
while reading happens to everyone. So don't worry. I know the library
will understand. And your gesture to be apologetic and honest is the
most important lesson here. Thanks for inspiring us old folks.”
Vickery Bowles, the library’s
city librarian, told ABC News in a statement that the response to the
letter has been heartwarming.
“It’s clear that many people
around the world have also been touched by Jackson’s sweet note. I think
Jackson has reminded us – young and old alike – about the joy of
reading, especially a good bedtime story!” she wrote.
